A study on a maternal health in Nigeria conducted by the University of Chicago revealed that using clean cookstoves and ethanol fuel can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease amongst pregnant women. The study featured CLEANCOOK stoves. Moreover, the study reported that the women preferred to use the CLEANCOOK stove, with 80% of participating women using the stove after the study had finished.
