After the recent launch of its new, low-cost Comet1 stove, Cleancook delivered 1,950 stove parts to a Kenyan distributor, Leocome. The Comet1 stove, which is sold in flatpacks, allows for local assembly of the final product, creating jobs for the local economy and providing a more affordable cooking solution to the customer. This will be a lower cost alternative to the double burner stove Cleancook Nova2, distributed in Kenya by LEOCOME in 2017. Sales of the Comet1 are expected to commence in Kibera, Nairobi. The Comet1 will be sold together with ethanol fuel, LEOFUEL, in 1, 3 and 5 L bottles.
